Lester Beach
Lester Beach, famous for its beautiful white sandy shoreline, has rolling hills with plenty of pine and birch trees. It's an ideal place for children with its shallow shores. Some days you can catch several boats out on the vast water. The community has a very strong family appeal and if you happen to be on Lester Boulevard near Black Forest Resort you will see many families loaded with their wagons, umbrellas and coolers heading to the beach for the day.
Originally called Bradbury Properties, Mr. Upton Lester purchased the land in 1953. Some of the land was sold to the United Church Camp, which is now where Black Forest Resort is located. The camp included a hall which was called the "Pink Palace" for its flamingo pink color. This building is still in existence and is owned by one of the residents of Lester Beach.
