About the Eastern Beaches Area of Lake Winnipeg
The Beaches along the southeast coast of Lake Winnipeg consist of Patricia Beach Provincial Park; Beaconia; Boulder Bay; Balsam Harbour; Lakeshore Heights:, Sunset Beach, Grand Marais and Grand Beach Provincial Park.
Along the northeast coast of Lake Winnipeg include Lester Beach, Belair, Hillside Beach, Victoria Beach, Albert Beach and Traverse Bay.
To many, Lake Winnipeg beaches are Manitoba's playground. Located 76 kilometers north of Winnipeg, the eastern shores offer gorgeous swimming beaches; excellent fishing; boreal forests; boating; trails for off-road vehicles; hiking or cross-country skiing.
For over 50 years the beaches of Lake Winnipeg have been host to thousands of summer visitors who enjoyed the boardwalk roller coaster and dance hall and other attractions.
